二十四年夏四月，晋侯将伐齐，使来乞师，曰：“昔臧文仲以楚师伐齐，取谷。宣叔以晋师伐齐，取汶阳。寡君欲徼福于周公，愿乞灵于臧氏。”臧石帅师会之，取廪丘。军吏令缮，将进。莱章曰：“君卑政暴，往岁克敌，今又胜都。天奉多矣，又焉能进？是躗言也。役将班矣！”晋师乃还。饩臧石牛，大史谢之，曰：“以寡君之在行，牢礼不度，敢展谢之。”
In the fourth month of the summer of the 24th year, the Marquis of Jin was about to attack Qi, and he sent an envoy to beg for troops, saying: "In the past, Zang Wenzhong used the Chu army to attack Qi, and captured the valley. Uncle Xuan used the Jin army to attack Qi, and captured Wenyang. I want to be blessed by the Duke of Zhou, and I would like to pray for the Zang family." Commander Zang Shi met them and took Linqiu. The military officials ordered repairs and were about to advance. Lai Zhang said: "The king is humble and the government is tyrannical. He defeated the enemy in the past, but now he has won the capital. There are so many people in heaven, how can we advance? This is Fang Yan. The generals are in charge!" The Jin army returned. After serving Shi Niu, the Great Historian thanked him and said: "As a humble monarch, I am a good person and do not show my courtesy, so I dare to show my thanks."

He defeated the enemy last year and now he has captured the city. God has given them a lot. How can they advance? This is nonsense. The army will be withdrawn." The Jin army really retreated back to the country. The people of Jin gave live cattle to Zang Shi. Taishi apologized and said: "Since I am traveling, the animals used do not meet the standards of etiquette. I dare to express my apology."
邾子又无道，越人执之以归，而立公子何。何亦无道。
The Zhuzi is also unruly, and the Yue people insist on it and return home, so why should they establish a son? There is no way.
邾隐公还是无道，越国人把他拘捕带回去，而立了公子何为君。公子何也同样无道。

公子荆之母嬖，将以为夫人，使宗人釁夏献其礼。对曰：“无之。”公怒曰：“女为宗司，立夫人，国之大礼也，何故无之？”对曰：“周公及武公娶于薛，孝、惠娶于商，自桓以下娶于齐，此礼也则有。若以妾为夫人，则固无其礼也。”公卒立之，而以荆为大子。国人始恶之。
