十有六年春王正月。夏，宋人、齐人、卫人伐郑。秋，荆伐郑。冬十有二月，会齐侯、宋公、陈侯、卫侯、郑伯、许男、滑伯、滕子同盟于幽。邾子克卒。

十六年夏，诸侯伐郑，宋故也。

In the summer of the 16th year, the princes allied forces attacked Zheng State. This was because Zheng State invaded Song State.
郑伯自栎入，缓告于楚。秋，楚伐郑，及栎，为不礼故也。
Zheng Bo came in from the oak tree and slowly reported to Chu. In autumn, Chu attacked Zheng and Quercus, which was considered impolite.
郑厉公从栎地回到国都，没有及时通知楚国。秋季，楚国进攻郑国，到达栎地，这是为了报复郑厉公对楚国不恭敬没有及时通知的缘故。

当初，晋武公进攻夷地，俘虏了夷诡诸。蒍国为他请求因而释放了他。后来夷诡诸并不报答，所以子国（即国）作乱，对晋国人说：“和我一起进攻夷地而夺取它的土地。”就带着晋国军队进攻夷地，杀死了夷诡诸。周公忌父逃亡到虢国。到周惠王时便又立他为君而恢复夷地。
At the beginning, Duke Wu of Jin attacked Yi land and captured the Yi tribe. The state of Chiang begged for him and released him. Later, the Yigui people did not repay the favor, so the Ziguo (i.e., the "Guo") rebelled and said to the Jin people: "Come with me to attack the Yidi and seize its land." He led the Jin army to attack the Yidi and killed the Yigui people. Duke Zhou's father fled to Guo. When King Hui of Zhou Dynasty came, he made him king again and restored Yi land.
