于是，军帅之欲战者众，或谓栾武子曰：“圣人与众同欲，是以济事。子盍従众？子为大政，将酌于民者也。子之佐十一人，其不欲战者，三人而已。欲战者可谓众矣。《商书》曰：‘三人占，従二人。’众故也。”武子曰：“善钧，従众。夫善，众之主也。三卿为主，可谓众矣。従之，不亦可乎？”
