To be called the eldest son means to be selfless. To not forget the past is to be loyal. To be loyal is to be kind, to be faithful, to be loyal, and to be successful. Even if the matter is big, it will be done well, so that it can be accomplished.

When he talks about the officials of his ancestors, this is not forgetting the roots; when he plays the music of his hometown, he is not forgetting the past; when he mentions the affairs of the Chu king when he was the crown prince, he is not selfish; when he calls the second minister by his name, he is respecting the king. Not betraying the roots, this is benevolence; not forgetting the old days, this is keeping one's word; Being without selfishness is loyalty; respecting the king is sensitivity. Use benevolence to protect, use loyalty to achieve, and use sensitivity to execute. Although the matter is big, it will definitely succeed. Why don't the king let him go back and let him form a friendship with Jin?

君子曰：“恃陋而不备，罪之大者也；备豫不虞，善之大者也。莒恃其陋，而不修城郭，浃辰之间，而楚克其三都，无备也夫！《诗》曰：‘虽有丝、麻，无弃菅、蒯；虽有姬、姜，无弃蕉萃。凡百君子，莫不代匮。’言备之不可以已也。”
